Greetings from our whirlwind journey across the east and west coasts! We've been traveling, capturing heartfelt interviews and making friends along the way. The experience has been nothing short of incredible - and emotional.
In our most recent series of interviews, we delved deep into the rich history of Afghanistan, unraveling the rich tapestry of life in Kabul during the 1960s and 1970s. The stories we encountered painted a vivid picture of what it was like. Through these narratives, we gained profound insights into the life of Ahmad Zahir – more than just a musical icon, he was a treasured friend, a beloved family member, and a mischievous prankster in the classroom. 😎
Throughout our interviews, we shared moments of laughter, shed a couple of tears, and savored delicious homemade Afghan meals together. It was a journey marked by profound connections and shared experiences. We are deeply moved by the generosity of the people we interviewed – their willingness to open their hearts and homes to us made this even more memorable.
